Covid-19 Covid-19: 22 deaths, 1,541 new cases in 24 hours
Dhaka, September 18: Bangladesh has reported 22 more deaths related to the deadly novel coronavirus, according to an official report.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Friday said the country also detected 1,541 new Covid-19 positive cases after testing 12,730 samples in 24 hours.
With the latest fatalities, the death toll has reached 4,881.
Covid-19 has affected 345,805 people in Bangladesh so far.
Meanwhile, 1,923 people recovered from this respiratory disease between Thursday and Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 252,335.
According to the DGHS press release, among the 22 deceased 16 were males and six were females.
