বাংলাদেশ-ভারত সীমান্ত বরাবর উত্তেজনা এবং মৃত্যুর ঘটনা প্রায়শই ঘটে থাকে। বেশিরভাগ সময়ই তা হয় বাংলাদেশের দিক থেকে অবৈধ ভাবে ভারতে প্রবেশ করার চেষ্টা করার পরিণতি হিসেবে । সীমান্তের দু'দিক থেকে গুলি বিনিময় এবং গরু পাচারের কারণেও এই উত্তেজনা এবং প্রাণহানির ঘটনা ঘটে। পাচার এবং বাংলাদেশ থেকে অবৈধ প্রবেশ রুখতে ভারতের বর্ডার সিকিউরিটি ফোর্সকে প্রায়ই গুলি চালাতে হয়।
Tension and killings along Bangladesh-India border
Tension and deaths along Bangladesh-India border occur frequently, mostly as a result of people illegally attempting to cross over to India from Bangladesh. Cross-border firing and cattle smugglings also contribute to such incidents of border tension and killings. Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has to frequently resort to firing mostly to prevent smuggling and stop illegal migration from Bangladesh.
